Gerges since you're clearly a wings guy do you know if high stick side is a problem for mrazek? Columbus targeted it often although outside a wicked panarin shot nobody got by him.

A team once lost 11 games in a row and still went to the Stanley Cup Finals that year...

Glove positioning has always been a weakness for Petr. He'll leave a big gap between his glove and the post. He cheats sometimes going side to side resulting in some easy goals from time to time.

He has such great reflexes though so he makes up for it. Shooters shoot high on him because of the glove positioning though. He's worked on it and improved a little bit but it's still his main weakness IMO.

I bet you guys love his puck handling ability. It's like having an extra defenseman back there. Just like Hexy back in the day.

I think after this run and display how good this team is and can be when we are right there within 1 point of first after going win less in 10 straight, Hexy owes it to this team to try make an upgrade at the deadline in some way, whether it's a top 4 defenseman or even bottom 6 forward for depth scoring etc. Guys have played to well to just not send them a sign they are deserving of making a solid run.

If Manning is out, I sure hope we see Sanheim called up and not have Alt slide into the line up instead.

Not frivolously trading away assets (not that you're suggesting that) is what's gotten us to this point as a team, and I'm completely fine with more of the same. The deal that got us Mrasek seems like a steal considering the need of the Flyers, good old supply and demand and the cut-throat mentality of capitalism. Also, that was the sign the team needed to know what management thought of them and their chances, imo.

So I'm cool with the way things have worked out so far. Being a dark horse in the playoffs, a team that nobody wants anything to do with because we're killing it, hitting our stride before anybody thought we would (with so many players waiting for their chance to impact the team) is my forbidden fantasy.

Have to admit, after that losing streak - I didn’t expect this.

Good for them, and good for Hak. I question a lot of his moves, but the team is trending the right way.

Fun time.

Also have to say that its wonderful to see Giroux carrying them again. He has some help, but this dominant version of G was something I didn’t think we would see again.

Keep it going.

At this point literally my only gripe with him is the weird 4th line love affair and Konecny in the doghouse, for lack of a better term.

My dude gave the slugs 2 shifts in the final 4 mins yesterday! Bruhhh
